Great Wall's Harvard H6 has topped the list of single SUV models sold in China for many years in a row, a record that officials say lasts for 84 months. Therefore, Great Wall automotive engineers may face great pressure on whether the newly designed models can continue to perform well in the market.

Harvard H6 is about to usher in a replacement product, according to online exposure, the new generation of Harvard H6 will be released and launched in the second half of this year, the overall shape has been basically determined.

The newly exposed Hover H6 will adopt a more angular design style and a big change in interior layout, while 1.5T and 2.0T engines are still expected to be used in power.

In terms of appearance, many details of the new Hover H6 front face have been adjusted, and the design of the "big mouth" has been retained, but it is more flat than the current model. The headlights are still shaped with relatively straight lines and are connected with the medium net.

The side of the body is basically similar to the cash model, while the rear is designed with a through taillight group. There is also a clear chrome plated line under the rear HAVAL logo, which increases the recognition of the vehicle.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car as a whole uses black, beige and rose gold tricolor to improve the overall texture. In terms of details, it is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a suspended central control LCD screen and a suspected knob shift mechanism, and the overall layout is also different from that of cash.

The new generation of Harvard H6 will use Great Wall's new B30 platform, and the new car is expected to be powered by fuel, HEV and PHEV versions. The fuel version is expected to carry a third-generation 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 183 horsepower, a maximum torque of 235 Nm and a maximum thermal efficiency of 38%, which meets the national Liub emission standards. The transmission system will match the 7-speed wet double clutch transmission.

The Harvard H6 once accounted for more than half of Great Wall's sales, but with the replacement and enrichment of the Harvard product line, the internal share of the Harvard H6 is also declining, accounting for 32.8% of the total sales of 75822 units from January to April this year. And Harvard brand M6, F7 and other models have gradually become the mainstream.

Therefore, whether the Harvard H6 can continue its previous sales performance, or even climb to another high-rise building, the new design and new models under the platform will be the latest embodiment of product power. After all, the competition from Changan CS75 and Geely Boyue is getting bigger and bigger.
