AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/12 Report--

After Boxun Automobile and Sailin Automobile, Baiteng Automobile employees have also embarked on the road of protecting their rights and asking for wages.

On June 29th, Baiteng CEO Dai Lei announced that Baiteng Motor would suspend its operations in mainland China and said it would properly handle employees' salaries and keep only a small number of employees on duty. At that time, the head of the HR of Baiteng Motor China said that the operation of Baiteng China is expected to stop production for six months, and will be notified later according to the specific situation. However, after the dignified announcement of the suspension of its operations in China, Baiteng was also caught up in a dispute over the protection of rights and wages.

According to media reports, about 80 Baiteng employees gathered to protect their rights, demanding that the company pay unpaid wages and pay compensation in accordance with the regulations. It is understood that the number of employees in Baiteng China who are in arrears is as high as 640. Among them, there are about 100 employees on duty and more than 500 employees without pay. According to people familiar with the matter, Baiteng paid the full salary to the employees who went through the departure procedures from July 10 to August 5, paid the salary of April and July to the employees on duty, and paid the salary of July to those who were not paid.

In order to safeguard the rights of the employees, it is hoped that Baiteng will settle the arrears of wages (including the April-June wages of the suspended employees and the May-June wages of the retained employees) by August 17, and pay 50% of the 100% compensation to the employees in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law. In addition, employees also require the company to pay the full amount of social security provident fund and make up for unpaid medical insurance for employees who are not paid. Baiteng employees hope to get a reply before August 14.

According to an email, Baiteng employees sent an email to the company's board of directors in mid-July asking when the unpaid wages would be paid. At that time, Baiteng HR replied to try to get further updates around July 30, but Baiteng employees' feedback did not receive any official response. Around August 7, Baiteng HR informed more than 100 on-duty employees to re-sign wage agreements, but some of them refused.

Previously, ideal car founder Li Xiang publicly said that among the hundreds of new car-building brands, no more than five can do not owe employees' wages and dealers' payments today.

From the current development of the new forces of domestic car-building, in addition to the head enterprises and central enterprises, the rear car-building brands are basically trapped in the swamp of safeguarding rights and unpaid wages. In addition to Baiteng, Boxun and Sailin were also asked for wages by employees for collective protection of their rights, with banners demanding that the company repay the wages owed. Compared with Sailin, Bolshun and Baiteng are still holding out, announcing the transformation of technology companies, but in the eyes of many, it is only a matter of time before they fall.

In fact, whether it is the incident of wage arrears and rights protection exposed by Baiteng, or the "mess" after the collapse of Boxun and Sailin, they all reflect the pace of accelerated reshuffle in the market, under the survival rules of survival of the fittest, the withdrawal of weak car brands is only a normal process of industry development.
