By contrast, the BMW 5-series seems to be unwilling to fight, with sales falling nearly 10% in November after a 21% year-on-year decline in October. The decline in sales for the whole year may be related to the strong price of its terminals. Sales of the BMW X3 grew 11.8 per cent to 124000 vehicles for the year. It is worth noting that due to the starting price of less than 300000 yuan, the BMW 3-Series is not in the league ranking of high-end cars, but in terms of sales, the 3-Series is on a par with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class for the whole year.
Although the models in the second-tier luxury brands can not match the sales of the BBA, thanks to the performance of the overall luxury market, both Cadillac and Volvo brands generally achieved year-on-year growth in November, only the Cadillac CT6 showed a double-digit decline, and Volvo's XC60 sales gap is wider than the S90, which also reflects that the domestic second-tier high-end SUV market is more powerful than the car market.
In terms of annual sales, only the Volvo brand showed a significant decline, which also shows that Volvo had a significant impact on the brand under the impact of the epidemic in the first half of this year, as well as complaints about "low-frequency resonance". Under the trend of most brands becoming regular, Volvo's main models are still in a state of decline.
At present, the independent brand Red Flag cars mainly rely on mid-range models to achieve volume, and the proportion of high-end model sales is not high. On the list, Hongqi H9 sold 2967 vehicles in November; from August to November, it sold a total of 8030 vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that the new power car company ideal ONE and ES6 have maintained a good growth trend in the domestic market, with sales of more than 25000 units from January to November. There has always been a bottleneck in the high-end road of independent brands, and the listing of Ulai and ideal models also shows that the high-end of new energy vehicles has become a major breakthrough for independent brands.
On the whole, although the performance of the luxury market is strong this year, it has shown a growth trend for several months in a row. Even under the influence of the epidemic, the sales of most luxury brands have gradually recovered and shown rapid growth throughout the year.
