Affected by the shortage of chips, the sales volume of GAC Group has declined year-on-year for four consecutive months.

Specifically, sales of GAC Honda fell 17.92% year-on-year to 72,054 vehicles in September, while sales of GAC Toyota fell 40.37% year-on-year to 48,300 vehicles. As we all know, GAC Toyota and GAC Honda are the main sales sources of GAC Group and the guarantee for GAC Group to realize growth. However, due to the influence of chip shortage, the production and sales situation of "Liangtian" is not very optimistic, especially GAC Toyota, which fell by more than 40% in September and sold less than 50,000 vehicles.

It is understood that in September, GAC Honda has more than ten thousand three models, the fourth generation of flying for 12355, Haoying for 13261, Binzhi for 13893, and Accord and Lingpai are less than ten thousand. It is worth mentioning that these two models have just been renewed. On September 29, the new Lingpai was officially launched, with a price range of 109,800 - 169,800 yuan. Although it is an annual model, the new car has been improved in appearance, interior, power and configuration. On October 9, the new Accord was officially launched, with a price range of 1698 - 259,800 yuan. As a mid-term modified model, the brand-new Accord has been upgraded in appearance and continues to offer fuel version and hybrid version for consumers to choose from. In addition to the above two models, GAC Honda also plans to launch a brand-new model. On the day of the launch of the new Lingpai, GAC Honda announced that the brand-new compact car INTEGRA was officially named "Model", which is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter as soon as possible.

In fact, GAC Toyota has sold less than 50,000 vehicles in two months, including 42,819 vehicles in August and 48300 vehicles in September, down 40.37% year-on-year and up 12.80% month-on-month. As the sales performance in recent two months did not meet expectations, GAC Toyota did not announce the specific monthly sales volume of specific models, but announced the overall sales volume in the first three quarters, such as the cumulative sales volume of 68455 Highlander vehicles and 86192 Weilanda vehicles. The reason is mainly due to the impact of chip shortage. However, even so, GAC Toyota still has new car planning. On September 21, GAC Toyota brand-new MPV race officially opened pre-sale, the official announced pre-sale price range is 320,000 - 420,000 yuan, as GAC Toyota's first MPV model, the new car series equipped with 2.5L hybrid system, will be officially launched on October 27. On September 24, GAC Toyota named its brand-new compact SUV as "Fenglanda" and became a member of the "Landa" family. The new car or the domestic version of Toyota Corolla CROSS Japanese Edition was unveiled at Guangzhou Auto Show as soon as possible and will be launched at the end of the year or early 2022.

In addition to GAC Honda and GAC Toyota, GAC Mitsubishi and GAC Fick also declined. On September 8, Stellantis Group issued a statement confirming the closure of GAC Fick Guangzhou factory. Affected by strategic adjustment and factory production planning, the production and sales volume of GAC Fick in September was only 1900 vehicles and 1,735 vehicles, down 39.91% and 55.08% year-on-year respectively, and the cumulative sales volume this year was only 14747 vehicles. As for GAC Mitsubishi, its current market situation is similar to GAC Fick, with sales volume of 5,610 vehicles in September, down 20.20% year-on-year. The cumulative sales volume in the first three quarters is 44582 vehicles, and the development prospect is not optimistic.

In sharp contrast to the above, GAC Chuanqi performed brilliantly, with sales of 22,930 vehicles in September, down 26.32% year-on-year; cumulative sales of 221,166 vehicles this year, up 11.57% year-on-year. GAC Chuanqi's eye-catching performance benefited from the power of MPV models, among which the main models M6 and M8 series continued to warm up. The sales volume of MPV models in September totaled 9367 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 27.8%; In terms of new products, the brand-new generation Chuanqi GS8 has been pre-sold. The pre-sale price of fuel version model is 1888 - 206,800 yuan, and the pre-sale price of hybrid version model is 2288 - 246,800 yuan. The second generation Chuanqi GS8 is built based on GPMA platform, adopts brand-new family design language, provides fuel and hybrid power systems, and is expected to be officially launched in the fourth quarter.

In terms of new energy models, the sales volume of GAC New Energy in September was 15,193 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 86.2%, and the cumulative sales volume in the first three quarters was 91,462 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 82.4%. The sales volume of GAC New Energy mainly comes from GAC Ai 'an. Its sales volume in September was 13,581 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 96.0%. The cumulative sales volume in the first three quarters was 78,741 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 104.0%. Although it seems that sales are good, online car booking and C-end sales are topics that Ai An cannot avoid.

It is understood that GAC Group plans to achieve 3.5 million vehicle sales by 2025, accounting for more than 25% of the sales volume of new energy vehicles; among them, the sales volume of independent brands will reach 1 million, electrification will be fully realized, and new energy vehicles will account for 50% of independent brands, and the proportion of new energy vehicles equipped with Internet of Vehicles will reach 100%.
