On September 12, the new AITO M7 officially released and announced the price, offering two versions of big five and six, with a price range of 24.98 to 329800 yuan, which falls in the same price band as the medium-sized SUV M5 of the same brand. This price means that the starting price of the new model is 70,000 yuan lower than that of the previous version, and 40,000 yuan lower than that of the M7 after the price cut in January.


As a brand jointly launched by Cyrus and Huawei, the product advantages of the AITO series of models are reflected in smart driving and cockpit capabilities. It is understood that the new M7 adds a lidar and is equipped with HUAWEI ADS 2.0high-order intelligent driving system, which can achieve high-speed and high-order intelligent driving in urban areas without relying on high-precision maps.

Officials say the new M7 spends 500 million yuan on body safety, chassis and performance, space design and layout, smart driving and smart cockpit upgrades, such as front and rear suspension double FSD variable damping shock absorbers, newly adjusted chassis adjustment, interior space and seat comfort optimization, intelligent torque adjustment 2.0 system, etc. In addition, the new M7 revamped the welding production line, accounting for 24.4% of submarine-grade hot-formed steel and 80.6% of high-strength steel and aluminum alloy.

By comparing the competitive data to show the advantages of the product, it is nothing new in the automobile circle in recent years. The new M7 is no longer a five-door six-seat model, but also a new five-door five-seat model. In terms of size, the boundary M7 is closer to the ideal L7. The length, width and height of the former is 5020/1945/1760mm and the latter is 5050/1995/1750mm.

The market performance brought by the price is intuitive. Of course, the price of the new M7 goes down to the same range as the M5, which will also affect the market performance of the M5.


At present, it is true that the new M7 has received less attention from consumers, but it may take more time to verify whether it can directly drive sales growth. Today, in the latest weekly sales list released by ideal Motor, the AITO ranked at the bottom, with only 300 vehicles, of which the ideal L7 sold 3225, while the M5 and M7 sold 374,350 respectively.
