From now on, a total of 2958 Dongfeng Nissan electric vehicles made from August 25, 2022 to May 29, 2023 will be recalled.

The announcement shows that due to unreasonable inverter software settings for vehicles within the scope of this recall, when a foreign body enters the slip ring of the drive motor between the positive and negative poles and produces an instantaneous abnormal current, the inverter will immediately enter the protection mode and cut off the power supply. resulting in power interruption in vehicle driving, there is a safety hidden danger. In view of the above defects, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the inverter software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

Earlier, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall notice, Nissan North America decided to recall 9813 2023 Ariya because of power outages while driving.
