On December 1, Harvard announced the time-limited discount policy for its Raptors and Owl MAX models. Users can enjoy a discount of 2000 yuan to 6000 yuan for ordering Harvard Raptor before December 31, 2023; for the purchase of owl dragon MAX, they can enjoy a discount of 2000 yuan to 8000 yuan.

Raptor and MAX are two new models launched by Harvard this year. On May 9, Qiaolong / Qiaolong MAX officially launched, in which the Owl Dragon positioning compact SUV launched a total of three models with a price range of 13.98-156800 yuan; the owl dragon MAX positioning medium-sized SUV launched a total of three equipped models with a price range of 15.98-179800 yuan, which is the first model equipped with Hi4 intelligent hybrid four-wheel drive system. Both models are plug-in mixed models, in which the owl dragon focuses on the mainstream consumer market, while the owl dragon MAX is aimed at a higher-end market.

As for the market performance after the launch of the new car, Li Ruifeng, chief increase officer of Great Wall Automobile, said on Weibo the day before the launch that "there is no competitor for the Great Wall Hi4 in 10 years".

The Haveron Raptor will go on sale on October 10, and the new car will be sold by Haverong. it will launch a total of three models with a price range of 16.58-183800 yuan. The overall appearance adopts the hard off-road design style, using 1.5T Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, equipped with rear axle differential lock.

Since the launch of the above models, Qionglong MAX has sold 26732 vehicles, including 2636 in October, while Haver Raptor has sold 5084 vehicles, including 5084 in October, making it the highest-selling new energy model in Harvard, according to retail data.

According to the latest official figures, Great Wall sold 31170 new energy passenger vehicles in November, up 142.32% from a year earlier, while cumulative sales in the first 11 months were 232000, up 91.94% from a year earlier. Among them, Harvard New Energy sold 10036 vehicles.

It is uncertain whether the Raptors and the fierce Dragon MAX will bring sales growth to Harvard after the introduction of time-limited preferential policies. It is worth mentioning that after entering December, a number of car companies in the car market have introduced preferential policies for car purchase, including Jiyue Automobile, BYD, Changan Automobile, Changan Qiyuan, Zero running Automobile, FAW Toyota and so on. Among them, BYD Dynasty launched a time-limited fuel transfer fund of up to 20, 000 yuan, FAW Toyota enjoyed a time-limited purchase tax of 5000 yuan for some models, and Changan CS75PLUS dropped by 15000 yuan. And Ji Yue Automobile's first model, Ji Yue 01, has been on the market for only a month or so, and it has also launched a discount of 30,000 yuan for the whole series of models. In the context of the "price war", there is no doubt that it will bring some pressure to Harvard.

It should be noted that as the main source of sales of Great Wall, although the Harvard brand has a large number of models, but the products are chaotic, the actual popular models are only Harvard H6 and Harvard Dog models.

After entering 2023, Harvard has launched a number of new energy vehicles, such as Harvard II Big Dog, Harvard Owl Dragon / Owl Dragon MAX, etc., but industry insiders believe that Harvard still needs to launch more popular models in order to achieve success in the new energy vehicle market.

In August 2022, the Great Wall Harvard brand held a new energy vehicle strategy conference to announce the start of new energy transformation, while launching a new brand LOGO. According to the plan, Great Wall's new energy sales are expected to account for 80% of sales by 2025, and the Harvard brand will officially stop selling fuel vehicles by 2030.
