On December 6, Wuling Xingguang officially listed, the new car launched CLTC comprehensive mileage 150km, 70km two versions, the price is 105800 yuan, 88800 yuan. Wuling Xingguang is the first new energy car of the Wuling brand. The electric version of the model is a closed grille design, although they all use split headlamps, but the specific details of the lamp group are obviously different from the plug-in hybrid version.

In terms of power, the Wuling Xingguang plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a Wuling plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5L engine and motor, with a maximum engine power of 78 kilowatts, a maximum torque of 130Nm, a battery capacity of 9.5kwh and 20.5kwh, a pure electric mileage of 70km and 150km (CLTC operating conditions), and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 3.98-4.09L for 100 km.

As a mixed-in model, Wuling Xingguang costs 8.88-105800 yuan, which competes with the market models such as BYD Qin PLUS DM-i (9.98-145800 yuan), Geely Galaxy L6 (11.58-149800 yuan) and Changan Qiyuan A05 (8.99-132900 yuan). However, compared with the above models, Wuling Xingguang has certain advantages in body size, and the lower starting price is in line with the market's understanding of the Wuling brand and can be included in the car purchase list of more users. however, it will take time to see whether this model can become another popular style in Wuling.

Retail data show that SAIC GM Wuling brand sold 664300 vehicles in the first 10 months of 2023, with the best-selling models being Hongguang MINIEV and Wuling colorful fruit, with sales of 189900 and 116300 respectively. At present, Wuling colorful fruit is the best-selling model of Wuling brand. In November sales, for example, Wuling colorful fruit sold 34573 vehicles, while Hongguang MINIEV sold 23518.

At present, the minicar market share is shrinking, Hongguang MINIEV is also beginning to be affected by this. The third generation macaron of Hongguang MINIEV went on sale on November 14, with an official price of 46800 yuan. As a modified model, the third-generation Macaron makes many adjustments to the appearance and interior design on the basis of the old model, especially to increase the maximum mileage to 215km, and supports slow charging and DC fast charging mode.

Hongguang MINIEV is favored by the majority of consumers by virtue of its price advantage, but more and more competitors join this market, coupled with other types of models continue to lower market prices, so that the halo of the "national magic car" is fading. That is why SAIC GM Wuling has launched models such as colorful fruits and Starlight, and has begun to launch different models for other markets in response to increasing competition.
