AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/03 Report--

A few days ago, the last Audi TT went off the line at a factory in Hungary, meaning that the small sports car born in 1995 will usher in the final life node. It is understood that Audi TT made its debut in the form of a concept car at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the mass production version was officially put into production in 1998. It has been replaced three times in the past 25 years, with a total production of 663000 vehicles. Audi said that the TT may become a pure electric car in the future.

The last Audi TT is a Tourist Trophy Special Edition. The car, which will only be sold in Spain, is expected to sell for 72800 euros and is limited to 25 units. It is understood that the date of production and suspension of TT printed on the windshield of Audi TT Special Edition is from February 18, 1998 to November 10, 2023.

Reviewing the official pictures released before, the Tourist Trophy Special Edition is equipped with S Line kit, and the smoked Audi logo, intake net and diversion trough design render the sports atmosphere well. The car carries 20-inch ten-spoke rims and is full of combat with red brake calipers. The rear of the car is equipped with a black spoiler, which further increases the sports atmosphere with the diversion grooves on both sides.

The new car interior is also equipped with S Line kit, we can see sports flat-bottomed steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, Alcantara sports seat and so on. On the power side, the new car will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 245 horsepower, matching a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and four-wheel drive system, and 0-100km/h acceleration in just 5.1 seconds.

In 1998, Audi officially released the first generation of Audi TT, and the new car adopted a very round line design, which was very different from most of the models with straight lines in the world at that time. As soon as the new car was launched, it got a very good market response. With the official launch of the second-generation TT in 2006, the new car incorporates more stylish elements based on the first generation of models, including large-mouth intake grille and LED daytime driving lights, while Audi also developed more powerful TTS and TTRS models, further consolidating Audi TT's position in the entry-level sports car market. At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the third-generation Audi TT and TTS were officially launched. the new car is based on the MQB platform and is also the first model launched by Audi under its new design concept.

Audi's new TT was officially launched in Beijing in June 2015, with a price range of 54.28-617800 yuan. In terms of power, the new Audi TT is equipped with a third-generation EA888 series 2.0TFSI engine with a maximum power of 230hp and a peak torque of 370Nm. In terms of transmission, the engine matches a six-speed S-Tronic double clutch transmission.

Audi TT positioning luxury entry-level sports car, the main competitors are Mercedes-Benz SLK and BMW Z4, from the power performance and overall configuration, Audi TT still has certain advantages. In addition, including Nissan 370Z and Lutes Elise models are also competitors to Audi TT, although these two models are relatively small, but the price and positioning will also be similar to Audi TT.
