AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/03 Report--

Xiaopeng is planning to stop updating the G3 product line and may design a new product to replace the model, according to several media reports. Reported that although the G3i model is still accepted for booking and purchase, but the car will not launch a modified model, the main business district stores have no longer displayed the car. Since then, the car will gradually suspend production, clear inventory, and be replaced by new products. Another person familiar with the matter said that the G3i product line looks old and does not conform to Xiaopeng's strategy of switching to the Fushao 2.0 architecture, but there is no news of the G3i flat replacement model.

In response to the news that Xiaopeng's first mass-produced model G3 and its modified product G3i will stop production this year, Xiaopeng responded that this is based on the company's long-term planning decision.

The Xiaopeng G3 is the first mass-produced model of Xiaopeng, positioning the pure electric compact SUV, which went on sale in December 2018 with a price range of 22.78-257800 yuan. It offers two different battery life versions, with NEDC mileage of 365km and 351km respectively under comprehensive operating conditions. The Xiaopeng G3i is a medium-term revamped model of the Xiaopeng G3, which went on sale in July 2021 with a price range of 14.98-185800 yuan. As a modified model, the Xiaopeng G3i is significantly improved in appearance, younger and more technologically advanced as a whole, while the power configuration scheme of the old model is still used in power. the maximum power of the motor 145kw, peak torque 300N ·m, provides 460km and 520km mileage, and mainly competes with Geely Geometry C, Weima EX5, Guangzhou Automobile AION Y and other models in the car market.

It should be noted that, as the first mass production model of Xiaopeng car, whether it is Xiaopeng G3 or Xiaopeng G3i, the sales performance is very general. Retail data show that from 2020 to 2022, the cumulative sales of Xiaopeng G3/G3i were 10744, 29721 and 17336 respectively, while from January to November this year, the cumulative sales were 4878, with an average monthly sales of more than 400. in this context, stopping production is also an inevitable choice.

According to the official website, Xiaopeng car models currently on sale include Xiaopeng P7/P7i, P5, G3i, G9 and G6 models, of which 2024 Xiaopeng G9 went on sale on Sept. 19, with a price range of 263900 yuan to 359900 yuan. Compared with the previous models, the price has been significantly reduced by 46000 yuan; the 2024 Xiaopeng P5 went on sale on September 25 with prices of 156900 yuan and 174900 yuan. In addition to the above models, Xiaopeng's first MPV-- Xiaopeng X9 official picture has been unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and opened for pre-sale, with a pre-sale price of 388000 yuan. As the flagship model under Xiaopeng's "supporting and shaking" structure, the new car is located in a medium-and large-scale MPV, using a pure electric power system.

From January to November this year, Xiaopeng's cumulative delivery increased by 10.98 per cent year-on-year to 121486, lagging behind ideal (325677) and Lulai (142026). In terms of car segments, the car companies with the highest cumulative sales this year are Xiaopeng P7 with 41100, Xiaopeng G6, Xiaopeng G9 and Xiaopeng P5 with 36872, 20385 and 18251 respectively.
