We will promote the sharing of industrial resources in their respective fields, complement each other's advantages, combine strong and strong forces, establish a long-term strategic partnership of common development and mutual benefit, jointly build the ecology of the smart car industry, and help national brands make progress. Work together to promote the commercial landing of Huawei smart car solutions, help Dongfeng fierce brand build China's luxury electric cross-country culture leader, and accelerate the intelligent and high-quality development of China's automobile industry.

Dongfeng Mengshi is the second high-end electric vehicle brand under Dongfeng Motor. At the 2021 World New Energy Automobile Conference, Zhu Yanfeng, chairman of Dongfeng Company, made it clear that Dongfeng wants to replicate the advantages of new forces in building cars and launch a new new energy customized product "M" in 2022. It is understood that the positioning of the high-end electric off-road M division is similar to that of the Great Wall tank, but its models will adopt new energy forms, match the electric Hummer, and focus on the high-end off-road market.

In August 2022, Dongfeng Motor officially launched the new luxury electric off-road brand "fierce". At the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, Dongfeng Mengshi's first mass-produced car-Mengshi 917 was officially launched, and the new car launched the ordinary version and the original version respectively. Among them, the ordinary version of the model launched the extended-range version and the electric version, the price is 63.77 yuan and 697700 yuan respectively; the original version of the model also launched the extended-range version and the electric version, the price is 67.80 yuan and 739000 yuan respectively.

It is worth mentioning that Dongfeng Lantu also cooperated with Huawei in a month. On January 22, Huawei formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dongfeng Lantu Guan Xuan. Lantu Automobile said that according to their respective advantages, the two sides will jointly create the ultimate intelligent travel experience around the needs of users, and accelerate the large-scale commercialization of intelligent technology through innovative exploration of cooperative models in many fields.

It is worth noting that in the official announcement, Dongfeng warriors did not mention the specific model of cooperation with Huawei. As we all know, there are three modes of cooperation between Huawei and the mainframe factory, from shallow to deep: parts mode, HI (Huawei Inside) mode and Hongmeng Zhihang (smart car selection mode). The Tramway report found that Xu Zhijun, Huawei's rotating chairman, was still present at the signing ceremony, rather than Yu Chengdong, Huawei's managing director, terminal BG CEO and chairman of smart car solutions BU. Therefore, when Huawei has twice partnered with Dongfeng brand official Xuan, the emergence of Xu Zhijun seems to mean that the HI model has become the choice of both sides.

Choosing HI mode is actually easy to understand. First of all, Lantu and Mengshi are the high-end new energy brands of Dongfeng Group, which is one of the top four car companies in China, which determines that it is impossible to hand over the "soul" to Huawei like Cyrus. Secondly, even if you join Hongmeng Smart selection, it may not be able to bring good market performance. Selis, Chery, BAIC and Jianghuai have all joined Hongmeng Zhixuan, but only Selis's brand development is OK. No matter from the point of view of channel construction or product planning, other brands are unlikely to have positive market performance in a short period of time, and with more and more Huawei car companies cooperating. In the end, Huawei will bring limited gains to its partner car companies. Finally, partnering with Huawei can make up for its own shortcomings, and Huawei's halo is also a plus.

At the end of last year, Dongfeng set development plans and targets for the next three years, that is, to achieve 100% electrification of new models of the main brand of independent passenger cars by 2024; by 2025, the annual sales of Dongfeng new energy vehicles will exceed 1 million. Among them, the annual sales of the three major product lines of the Dongfeng brand, new energy, will exceed 700000. To this end, Dongfeng will also invest 50 billion yuan in the field of independent new energy, which has already invested hundreds of billions of yuan, which shows that Dongfeng's transformation is quite resolute.
