The front face is designed with a rectangular grille, with round headlights on both sides and decorated with through-type light belts. The engine hatch is equipped with heat dissipation holes, and the visual effect is very strong.

On the side of the body, the new car blackened the details, including door handles, window frames and exterior rearview mirrors. In addition, the new car is also equipped with the same wheel eyebrows of the tank 300 border restrictions and dense spokes with large-size rims to make the whole car look more aura. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4772, 1970 and 1960 (1971) mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm. For comparison, the tank has a length, width and height of 4760/1930/1903mm and a wheelbase of 2750mm. In contrast, the new car has an increased 12mm in length, 40mm in width, at least 57mm in height, and the wheelbase remains the same. In the rear part, the new car uses a horizontal rear door design, with a large-size external spare tire, and equipped with exaggerated split tail wings, the visual effect is wild. The tail is marked with a red V6 to improve recognition.

Interior part, the new car basically follows the cash model design style, the car uses a large area of square straight lines with round chamfer, equipped with 12.3-inch double screen to create a good sense of science and technology.

In the power part, the new car is equipped with a 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 360hp and a maximum torque of 500Nm. The transmission system matches the 9AT gearbox, and it is equipped with an intelligent just-in-time four-wheel drive system with Mlock mechanical locking function, which can switch between two-wheel drive (2H, economic mode lockable rear drive), intelligent four-wheel drive (AWD), high-speed four-wheel drive (4H) and low-speed four-wheel drive (4L). The 4L mode can magnify the torque by 2.64 times.

The tank 300 actually belonged to the Great Wall Wei brand at first, and it was not until April 2021 that the Great Wall automobile brand became independent, and the tank 300 was officially included under the Great Wall tank brand as its first production model, and the original "WEY" mark was changed to the "TANK" mark.

At present, there are four models on sale under the tank brand, including Tank 300, Tank 400,500 and Tank 700. among them, Tank 300 went on sale in December 2020, with a price range of 17.58-213800 yuan. Among them, the launch of Tank 300 lowers the threshold for domestic consumers to get hard cross-country SUV, which is also the reason why sales continue to be hot after the launch of Tank 300.

As a hardline domestic SUV, Tank 300 almost bears the heavy responsibility of tank brand sales. Take the retail sales in 2023 as an example, the cumulative sales of tank brands in 2023 are 137425, of which 92921 are tanks, accounting for 67.62% of the total sales; tanks 10511, 22753 and 11240 respectively.

For the tank brand, its main sales rely on the tank 300, that is to say, at present, the tank brand has only one popular model, how to improve the product power and sales volume is the issue that the tank brand has to face. According to the plan, the Hi4-T upgrade version of the tank will be released on March 18, and the new car will upgrade the core parts such as the engine, four-wheel drive system and engine system respectively.
