AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)04/15 Report--

On April 15, Xu Jieyun, special assistant to the chairman of Xiaomi Group and deputy general manager of the China Marketing Department, posted a message in response to the news that "Xiaomi lost an average of 6800 yuan per millet SU7 sold." Xu Jieyun responded: "this information may be biased. Citigroup Automotive analysts' report from April 2 may underestimate the booming sales of Xiaomi SU7. Our orders have continued to increase in the past few weeks, and we are also making every effort to improve our delivery capacity."

It is understood that before Citigroup released a research report, Xiaomi lost an average of 6800 yuan per SU7 sold in 2024, resulting in a total loss of 4.1 billion yuan for the entire car-building business. In terms of production capacity, delivery of Xiaomi's SU7 is expected to reach 5000 to 6000 vehicles in April and about 55000 to 70, 000 vehicles for the whole year, Citigroup said. At present, Xiaomi SU7 has a six-month waiting time for delivery, and if production capacity fails to keep up with demand, Xiaomi may encounter growth problems similar to those of last year's Xiaopeng G6.

On March 28th, Xiaomi SU7, the first model of Xiaomi, was officially launched, with a total of three models: standard version, Pro version and Max version, with a price range of 215900 yuan to 299900 yuan. Based on the architecture of Xiaomi Modena platform, Xiaomi SU7 is positioned as a C-class high-performance eco-tech car with dual-motor version and single-motor version. Among them, the millet SU7 is equipped with a maximum power of 299 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400Nm, the CLTC pure electric range of 668km, and the system supports 400V fast charging; the millet SU7 Max is equipped with a front and rear double motor system with a maximum power of 673hp, a maximum torque of 838Nm, and a CLTC pure electric range of 800km.

On April 3, the delivery ceremony of the first batch of Xiaomi SU7 owners was held in the final assembly workshop of Xiaomi Automobile Factory in Yizhuang, Beijing. Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, personally attended the delivery event, handed over the cars to the first owners, opened the doors for Xiaomi owners and took a group photo at the scene.

As Xiaomi Group's first masterpiece to enter the new energy vehicle market, Xiaomi SU7 attracted the attention of many consumers when it went public. At the delivery ceremony on April 3, Lei Jun revealed that more than 100000 people had ordered Xiaomi SU7 in just a few days, and more than 40, 000 orders had been locked up. In other words, as of April 3, the lock-up rate of Xiaomi SU7 has exceeded 40%.

Data show that in the first week of April, Xiaomi sold 1095 SU7 terminals, which is quite good for the newly listed Xiaomi SU7. It should be noted that while Xiaomi SU7 is a hot seller, it also faces the problem of extending the delivery cycle. According to Xiaomi App information, the delivery cycle of Xiaomi SU7 standard version is expected to be 26-29 weeks, Pro version 26-29 weeks, and Max version 27-30 weeks.

On April 14, Xiaomi announced that it would start a 24-hour retrofit on April 19, mainly for non-original lock users of Xiaomi SU7. If the user participates in this time-limited modification, the configuration and order will be locked after the modification is successful, and the deposit is non-refundable. On April 15, in the latest issue of answering netizens' questions (episode 17), Xiaomi cars responded to questions such as whether the optional configuration will affect the pick-up time, whether the functions of the rear-loaded models affect the quality assurance and why they may not be able to recharge when using other brands to recharge.

For "if the match is changed, does it mean that you need to wait in line again, which will lead to a long delay in picking up the car?" Xiaomi said: "We have indeed weighed many times about the impact of the modification on the order order, and finally decided to re-queue after the modification, which is fairer to all users. The delay in pick-up time depends on the locking time of your current order. Even if you lock the order early and rank high, the delivery cycle will be significantly increased because of the successful modification. And it is non-refundable after the successful rematch, please be careful with the rematch! "
