As the largest fast charging station for electric vehicles in the world, it is located in the folk music charging station in Longhua New District, Shenzhen. Recently, it has been announced that an additional 172 electric vehicle fast charging piles have been put into operation. At present, the charging station has been built with 637 fast charging piles. The charging station is operated by three units, including Southern Power Grid, and covers an area of 20, 000 square meters. It can provide charging services for nearly 5000 electric vehicles every day.

There are 70 60-kilowatt DC charging piles with a new constant power charging module in this charging station. These charging piles can meet the charging current and voltage requirements of all electric vehicles on the market, and the charging speed has been improved. The charging speed is about 20% to 30% faster than that of ordinary fast charging piles.

As the first batch of national pilot cities for the demonstration and promotion of energy-saving and new energy vehicles and national low-carbon transportation pilot cities, Shenzhen has become the first city in the country and even in the world to fully electrify public transportation in 2017. In 2018, the proportion of pure electric taxis operating on the ground in Shenzhen will be as high as 94.21%, and another 1350 taxis will be operated gradually, and taxis will basically be purely electric.

According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's energy car market remained strong in the first quarter of this year. From January to March, the sales of new energy models reached 304000 and 299000 respectively. Of these, 227000 were pure electric models, an increase of 121.4 percent over the same period last year, and 72000 plug-in hybrid models, an increase of 79.1 percent over the same period.

The strong development momentum of electric vehicles transmits incremental signals to the matching charging piles. Evergrande think tank pointed out in a research report in April that from the point of view of market demand, new energy vehicles have reversed the trend since the second half of 2018, and their production and sales are expected to exceed 2 million in 2020. The strong growth of new energy vehicles provides an endogenous driving force for the growth of the charging pile industry.
