AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/13 Report--

Although no one was killed in an explosion at a hydrogen filling station on the outskirts of the Norwegian capital Oslo, someone in a nearby vehicle was slightly injured by an airbag opened by the explosion.

The explosion triggered a chain reaction, and the supplier of the hydrogenation station issued a statement afterwards, saying that before the end of the investigation into the cause of the explosion, the services of 10 sites in Norway would be closed and cooperate with relevant departments in the investigation.

Toyota and Hyundai, the local car industries that sell hydrogen energy, said afterwards that they had suspended the sale of hydrogen-powered vehicles in Norway before the investigation was completed.

Toyota and Hyundai are the first companies to put hydrogen fuel cell vehicles into commercial use. As early as 2014, Toyota took the lead in releasing the first-generation hydrogen fuel cell vehicle Mirai in Japan. It is understood that the mileage of the Mirai can reach 500km, and it takes only about 3 minutes to replenish hydrogen fuel, which is almost comparable to that of fuel vehicles. At present, Toyota has pushed Mirai to North America, Europe and other markets. Hyundai Motor began to invest in fuel cell electric vehicles as early as 20 years ago, and its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle NEXO has been sold in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries.

At present, Toyota and Hyundai are the only two car companies in Norway that sell hydrogen fuel cell models. However, the two companies' hydrogen fuel cell models do not sell much in Norway, with monthly sales in the single digits.

In fact, there have been a lot of hydrogen energy explosions recently. On May 23, a hydrogen storage tank exploded in South Korea, killing two people. In addition, two weeks ago, a hydrogen explosion occurred at a chemical plant in California, affecting the local hydrogen supply.

Hydrogen energy accidents occur frequently, which makes people wonder whether hydrogen vehicles are really safe.

In response, he Xiaopeng, CEO of Xiaopeng Automobile, said on Weibo that safety and quality are the foundation, especially in the industry, whether electric or hydrogen energy, will continue to improve safety. As a matter of fact, gasoline is the most unsafe, but people are used to it.

According to the official explanation, the water-hydrogen engine of the youth car, which was pushed to the forefront of the storm some time ago, does not run oil or recharge, but can run as long as it is filled with water, and it takes a long time to travel, not to mention 500 kilometers.

This is the kind of technology that people have been pursuing, but relevant experts say that it cannot be realized at home and abroad at present, so it seems that water-hydrogen fuel cars are not a real technological breakthrough, but more like a charade. Young cars do not want to rely on the automobile industry to make money, but want to guide investment through gimmicks.

The main source of hydrogen energy is hydrogen. As a clean energy respected in the 21st century, hydrogen burns only water and does not produce hydroxides, sulfides or dust particles, or even carbon dioxide. So hydrogen-powered vehicles have been the most sought-after technology.

At the two sessions of the country this year, hydrogen energy as an industrial development was included in the "Government work report", and local governments have also developed hydrogen energy one after another. so far, there are a total of 27 hydrogen filling stations in China.

The lack of substantial development of the hydrogen energy vehicle industry has a lot to do with the construction of infrastructure, and only 27 hydrogenation stations, including those that have been dismantled and not in operation, are insufficient at present. On June 5, Shanghai built the world's largest hydrogen refueling station. According to Shanghai's target, 14 hydrogenation stations will be built this year to promote the operation of 1000 hydrogen-powered vehicles.

It can be seen that, whether at home or abroad, in addition to dealing with electric vehicles, special attention is also paid to the development of hydrogen energy vehicles. At present, there are two major problems of hydrogen energy, one is the safety of resources, the other is the popularity of cars. From the development of hydrogen energy to the final use of hydrogen energy, it needs to be tried and tested many times in order to ensure the safety of use and promote the development of hydrogen energy vehicles.
