On August 4, Great Wall released the latest monthly production and sales figures. Data show that Great Wall sold 109100 vehicles in July, up 7.03% from a year earlier. The cumulative sales from January to July were 628300, up 1.26% from a year earlier. According to the annual sales target of 1.6 million vehicles, the annual sales target rate of Great Wall in the first seven months is 39.27%.

Judging from the latest monthly sales and the cumulative sales in the previous July, Great Wall has seen a slight increase, which may be related to the new models launched by Great Wall. In terms of brand segmentation, Great Wall's Harvard brand, Wei brand, Euler brand and tank brand all achieved year-on-year growth in July, especially Wei Brand.

According to the data, the sales volume of Wei brand in July was 6652, up 119.25% from the same period last year, which was the highest among the four brands. This is also the third month in a row that it achieved a big rise. From May to June this year, Wei brand sales were 5770 and 6602 respectively, up 128.97% and 128.68% respectively from the same period last year. The main sales came from Lanshan, which was newly listed on the market. As a big six Blue Mountain DHT-PHEV priced at about 300000, the car successfully stopped the decline in sales of Wei brand after its launch. Blue Mountain DHT-PHEV sales in May and June were 5136 and 5506, respectively, according to the Federation of passengers.

According to the official website, Wei brand models currently on sale include mocha / mocha DHT-PHEV, latte DHT/ latte DHT-PHEV, macchiato DHT/ macchido DHT-PHEV model and blue mountain, of which blue mountain is the latest model on the market. On April 13, Wei Lanshan DHT-PHEV officially launched two new models with a price range of 27.38-308800. The power is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5T engine and front and rear double motors. The comprehensive output power of the whole plug-in hybrid system is 380kW and the comprehensive torque is 933N ·m. The transmission system matches the 2-gear DHT transmission, the pure electric mileage under WLTC condition is 180km, and the comprehensive mileage WLTC is more than 1000 km.

On June 1st, Wei Brand launched a new mocha DHT-PHEV model with a price of 231800 yuan. As a medium-term modified model, the new car has been replaced with the latest family-style design style, which looks like a small blue mountain. At the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area auto show in 2023, Wei Brand announced plans for some new cars to launch in the second half of 2023. Gaoshan DHT-PHEV is expected to launch in August, while the new latte is expected to launch in September. Wei Brand will also launch a new large SUV in November. In terms of the first two sales after the listing of Blue Mountain, the launch of the new car has achieved remarkable results. With the launch of new Wei brand models one after another, it is expected that the follow-up sales of Wei brand may continue to grow.

In addition to Wei Brand, the Harvard brand also grew slightly in July, up 2.75% to 62967 vehicles from a year earlier, and 1.55% to 355611 vehicles from January to July. Among the subdivided models, take the June sales data as an example, the top three models sold by the Harvard brand in June were the Harvard H6, the Harvard Dog and the Harvard Owl Dragon MAX, with sales of 14267, 10718 and 6098 respectively. Among them, Harvard Owl Dragon / Owl Dragon MAX is a new product launched by the Harvard brand in May, after Great Wall Motors named the Haverong brand "Haverong net". In addition, on July 25, the new Haverdog officially launched three models with a price range of 12.39 yuan to 149900 yuan, a reduction of 6000 yuan compared with the old models. As a modified model, the new Haver Dog is optimized for appearance, interior decoration and power. On July 31st, the Harvard brand announced the official name of its new SUV, which will be sold by Haverong in the future and may be unveiled at the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show as planned.

As for Euler and tank brands, sales were also good, with sales rising 14.58 per cent year-on-year to 10116 vehicles in July and 8.15 per cent to 13490 vehicles for tank brands. As the only pure electric brand under Great Wall, the Euler brand has three models on sale: good cat, lightning cat and ballet cat. Among them, Euler cat is the best-selling model of the Euler brand. Tank brand products on sale include tank 300 and tank 500 models, of which tank 300 is the main model of tank brand sales, accounting for more than 85% of the total sales of tank brands. In the future, tank brands will also launch tank 400, tank 700 and other models.

Judging from the previous July sales, there was still a lot of pressure on Great Wall to achieve its annual sales target of 1.6 million vehicles this year. Overall, the Harvard brand remains the most important source of sales for Great Wall at the moment, and the industry believes it will continue to boost sales with the launch of models such as Harvard Owl Dragon / Owl Dragon MAX and new car Haver Dog. Euler and tank brands have not launched new models this year, and overall sales have not fluctuated much. As for the Wei brand, since the listing of the blue mountain, the sales volume of the Wei brand has increased significantly, to some extent, this also shows that the blue mountain has been recognized by consumers, but at present, there is only one popular model in the blue mountain. It is not clear whether more new Wei brand cars can improve the sales situation of the Wei brand after it comes to market.
