As a representative of French cars, Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on May 18, 1992, jointly funded by Dongfeng Motor and Peugeot Citroen Group. DPCA has two major brands: Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen. Although the two major brands have a large number of products, and the two major products have been updated at an accelerated pace since 2023. Dongfeng Citroen sold 1250 vehicles in September, with a cumulative sales of 18307 for the year. According to the official website, Dongfeng Citroen currently sells products including Tianyi C5 AIRCROSS, new C3-XR, Versailles C5X, C6 and other models, of which Versailles C5X is the highest selling model of DPCA. In September, for example, the Versailles C5X sold 853 vehicles, compared with 12398 in the previous September, accounting for 67.72 per cent of Dongfeng Citroen's total sales.

At present, the source of sales of DPCA still depends on fuel cars, while the sales of Versailles C5X, the main product in the past, have begun to decline in recent months. Data show that from July to September this year, Versailles C5X sales were 1562, 1021 and 853 respectively, showing a gradual decline.

According to the 155000 sales target set by DPCA, the annual target completion rate is only 41.14%, while judging from the previous delivery volume, DPCA may not be able to meet sales expectations.

In mid-June, Citroen announced a marketing change plan to prepare for a comprehensive electric transformation, in which the future marketing work of DPCA will be further refined. Marketing business will be integrated into four departments, including brand development center, digital operation center, marketing center and customer service center. DPCA's Dongfeng Citroen and Dongfeng Peugeot brands will be unified management and network integration. DPCA said that the marketing change is aimed at optimizing and streamlining processes, improving internal efficiency, improving dealer profitability and responding to the market and customers better and faster. DPCA also hopes to speed up the electrified transformation process by adjusting the structure of the marketing field.
