As a medium-term modified model, the overall appearance of the new Taycan does not change much, mainly for appearance details adjustment, configuration, chassis, power is the highlight of the new Taycan upgrade.

Appearance, the new Taycan is still familiar to us, the overall design style is basically the same as the old model, but for the appearance of details adjustment, the most obvious is the front part, the front of the car using a new style of headlight group, light group using HD Matrix (high definition matrix) technology, light group with more than 32000 LED light source composed of pixel array, you can choose the lighting area and lighting brightness according to real-time road conditions. The side and rear parts of the car have not changed much, but the wheel rim style has been redesigned to incorporate a low wind resistance design, which Porsche says will add additional 40km endurance to the vehicle in WLTP conditions. In addition, the new Taycan also makes great efforts in lightweight, whether it is the body material or motor and other aspects of weight loss, so the vehicle quality is reduced 15kg.

Interior decoration can be said to be a major part of the new car, although the overall design is basically the same as the old model, more reflected in the material, function and other aspects. Specifically, the new Taycan offers a brand new two-color interior for consumers to choose from, wrapped in a soft material inside the door, and provides wireless charging. In addition, the new car is redesigned for the in-car instrument function display, and the electronic instrument can display information such as the current charging power of the vehicle, the maximum power supply provided by the infrastructure and so on. In terms of car-machine function, a new Apple CarPlay+ function is added to the car-machine interconnection, and the co-driver display screen increases the privacy viewing mode.

In terms of power, the maximum power of the new Taycan basic model is 300kW, the acceleration time of 0-100km / h is 4.8s, and the mileage under WLTP condition is 678km; the maximum power of the new Taycan Turbo S model is 700kW (in supercharging mode), the acceleration time of 0100km / h is 2.4s, and the maximum driving range of WLTP is 630km. In terms of chassis, there is no doubt that the biggest upgrade of the car is that it has the same chassis suspension system as Porsche Panamera. From the previous three-chamber air suspension to the dual-chamber air suspension with dual-valve shock absorbers, faster, more sensitive response and higher comfort can be achieved.

The Taycan, Porsche's first all-electric sports car, went on sale on September 4, 2019, with a current price range of RMB89.80-1.838 million. According to the data, Porsche sold 320221 vehicles worldwide in 2023, an increase of 3 per cent year-on-year, of which the total delivery volume in China was 79283. Although it is still the largest single market in the world, it is the only market in the world to decline, down 15 per cent from the same period last year. Of this total, the Taycan rose 17 per cent year-on-year to 40629 vehicles, accounting for 12.7 per cent of Porsche's total sales.

With the advent of electrification, more and more Porsche models have been electrified. On January 25th, the new Macan debuted, no longer a fuel car, but evolved into an all-electric car. The Macan EV is Porsche's second all-electric car and the first all-electric SUV, based on the PPE platform, with some design elements drawn from the Taycan and an interior similar to the new Caynne. In terms of power, the pure electric Macan is equipped with 800V power system and permanent magnet synchronous motor with hairpin windings. Both Macan 4 and Macan Turbo adopt dual motor four wheel drive system, in which Macan 4 has a maximum power of 300kW and peak torque of 650Nm, while Macan Turbo has a maximum power of 470kW and peak torque of 1130 Nm.

In the future, there will be more and more electric versions of Porsche models, and more and more fuel-fueled vehicles will be converted to pure electric vehicles. According to the plan, by 2025, more than 50% of Porsche's new cars will be electric. By 2030, more than 80% of new cars delivered will be pure electric vehicles.
