Porsche, a world-renowned manufacturer of high-end sports cars, has once again received attention for recalling doors. Porsche officially announced that it will recall about 340,000 Cayenne and Panamera sports cars because of problems with the vehicle's automatic transmission. It is worth noting that Porsche sold 256,000 vehicles worldwide in 2018, and the recall of 340,000 vehicles is almost Porsche's global sales volume for a year and a half. The specific problem with this recall is that these vehicles can slip when parked due to a potentially vulnerable part in the connection between the gear lever and the transmission.

Car accidents are taken seriously abroad. Chrysler and Jeep Grand Cherokee had earlier launched mass recalls due to vehicle parking defects that caused rolling problems. Since 2019, Porsche (China) has recalled vehicles five times, with more than 110,000 recalls in half a year and more than Porsche's total sales of 80,000 vehicles in China in 2018. The models and problems involved include: 42070 imported 2011-2016 Panamera series vehicles, insufficient sealing of air conditioner blower regulator control unit and risk of fire;

A total of 50232 imported 718Cayman, 718 Boxster, Panamera and Cayenne vehicles were caused by the fact that the lower longitudinal beams on the left and right sides of the front of the vehicle may penetrate the front baffle in case of an accident collision, resulting in damage to the fuel tank and, in extreme cases, fuel leakage, increasing the risk of vehicle fire; there was also an error in the instrument cluster software, and warning messages could not appear when the brake linings were worn to the limit. A total of 21242 imported Panamera series vehicles of 2017-2019 models produced from March 21,2016 to December 3,2018 failed to have steering assist function. In the first three months of this year, Porsche sold 55,700 new cars worldwide, down 12% year-on-year; sales in China were 16,900, down 10% year-on-year.
