According to relevant media, Volvo's global sales in the first half of this year set a new record, reaching an all-time high of 340826 vehicles. Growth continued in July, with global sales rising 7.1 per cent, with 54546 new cars sold. Volvo sold 395372 cars this year as of the end of July, up 7.3 per cent from the same period last year.

China remains Volvo's largest single market in the world. The growth rate was also much higher than in other regions, with total sales of 12639 vehicles in July, up 24.9 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, luxury car S90 and medium-sized SUVXC60 are the most favored by consumers. In addition, Volvo S90 sales rose 12.4% to 4575 in July from 4072 in the same period last year, according to model data provided by Volvo.

And on August 5, Volvo's new V60 went on sale with a price range of 33.99 yuan to 439900 yuan. it is worth mentioning that Volvo's new V60 was also introduced to the domestic market before the Volvo S60, a sedan version in the Volvo 60 series.

Volvo sold 25518 vehicles in Europe in July, up 4.8 per cent from 24355 in the same period last year, driven by consumer demand for XC60 and XC40. In addition, cumulative sales in the region increased by 5.9% from January to July compared with the same period last year. In terms of models, the XC40 is Volvo's best-selling car in the region, followed by the XC60.

The US market still maintained a good momentum of growth, thanks to the strong sales performance of the Volvo SUV series, sales rose 2 per cent in July from a year earlier. Among them, the longest-selling model is the XC90, followed by the best-selling XC60 in China and the long-lasting XC40 in Europe. In addition to the three major markets, Volvo's total sales in other markets fell by 3%.
