Among the commercial enterprises that have obtained self-driving commercial licenses, Baidu obtained a T4 self-driving license in July this year. According to Baidu, the company has obtained more than 100 self-driving test licenses nationwide, which is currently the country with the largest number of self-driving licenses in China.

Hailiang Technology, on the other hand, launched the Alfa Intelligent bus driving system in December 2017, which is a demonstration project of China's future new energy and intelligent public transport system, implemented by Shenzhen bus Group and Hailiang Technology.

Shenlan Technology is in-depth development in the fields of intelligent travel, intelligent environment and AI CITY. In June this year, Shenlan Technology won the road test license in Guangzhou and became the only company to get the road test license.

The three companies also play different roles in the process of issuing self-driving licenses, with Baidu mainly providing self-driving taxi services, Hailiang Technology and Shenlan Technology as commercial vehicle services.

At present, the area of commercial development of self-driving is relatively small, but no progress has been made, and self-driving buses and taxis will be the first to land.

With regard to the significance of issuing self-driving commercial licenses, the person in charge of Wuhan Transportation Bureau said that relevant enterprises can strengthen new functions such as long-distance driving and vehicle-road coordination on the basis of crude oil testing, and test manned operation at the same time. Self-driving research and development and technology have never been promoted.
